CA161 - Cortijo del Pino

In the shade of a centuries old pine tree next to the La Loma barrio of Albuñuelas we find this beautifully and sympathetically restored Andalucian cortijo. The cortijo is now available to rent when the owners are not in residence. Classified as a “Casa Rural,� it is more like a small hotel. The entrance to the house is via its own private road and parking is possible for three or four cars to the side of the house. The house is entered via a cobbled courtyard to the front of the house, from where it is possible to take al-fresco meals and enjoy the views across the orange groves belonging to the house to the village and the gorge of Albuñuelas beyond. On the ground floor there is a spacious salon ideal for relaxing and reading a good book or just for talking among friends. From here we pass into the dining room, equipped with a wood-burning and leading from the dining room the fully equipped kitchen. And from the dining room there is a door to a sun-bathed courtyard with a table capable of seating a multitude, open to the sun in winter and shaded in the summer. The upper floor has five bedrooms, four doubles and a single, all with en-suite bathrooms. Each has it´s own distinctive character and all are very comfortable. Outside there are well tended gardens on different levels and a pool. There are ample loungers and that rarity in Andalucia, a lawn. And to the rear of the house in its own small garden is a gazebo, ideal for dining, reading or just switching off and listening to nature.
