Albuñuelas

Is located on the slopes above the Rio Santo with lovely views across the gorge, the Sierra de Albuñuelas and the Sierra de Las Guajaras. The surrounding area is fantastic walking country.

Albuñuelas is a fair sized village and is divided into three barrios or quarters- upper, lower and la Loma. All the shops, bars and amenities are located in the upper barrio.

The eighteenth century church although of apparently modest construction has quite a spectacular interior. In the lower barrio is the Hermitage of San Sebastián which dates back to the early sixteenth century.

San Sebastían is celebrated on the 20th of January and in August there is a five day long fiesta.
